RIF Africa Timeline: Our Journey From 2013 to Present

A decade of research, innovation, and enterprise building across technology, agriculture, and community development in Nigeria and Africa.

2013: The Beginning

Our journey commenced in 2013 as RIF Futures. We delved into engineering and scientific research concepts, including Automated AI and Photovoltaics, uniting minds to bring visions into practical fruition.

2014: Subpadi Launch

We ventured into Subpadi in 2014, building on research conducted in 2013. Subpadi originated as an e-commerce platform, leveraging WordPress.

2015: Future Transformed Lead

In 2015, we initiated the involvement of stakeholders in Nigeria, forming a leading entity called Future Transformed Lead to unite individuals with similar visions.

2016: ScreenHub and Scientists Kingdom

In 2016, we launched ScreenHub, a comprehensive 360 hub for networking ideas through digital products and marketing. We also introduced Scientists Kingdom, engaging universities including UI, OOU, Unilag, Uniabuja, and YabaTech.

2017: Expansion and AssetsHub

In 2017, we launched Screenmode.Com.my, ScreensTV, and a financial platform named AssetsHub. We collaborated with stakeholders such as Alake of Egba Land and Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

2018: RIF Africa Rebrand

In 2018, we completed a full rebranding, adopting the name RIF Africa, and commenced industrial exchanges.

2019: Agriculture Partnership

In 2019, we established a partnership with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture at Eweje, focusing on entrepreneurship skills training aimed at infusing innovation into agriculture.

2020: Subpadi Relaunch

We relaunched the Subpadi website with significant updates and expanded outreach with digital skills training programmes.

2021: MarketingHub and Subpadi App

In 2021, we introduced the MarketingHub website and launched the Subpadi app on the Play Store. We also initiated work on RIF Logistics.

2022: Office Relocation and BigiSub

In 2022, we relocated from Lagos to Abeokuta, launched RIF Logistics, and initiated the development of BigiSub.

2023: BigiSub Launch

In 2023, we successfully launched BigiSub on both the Play Store and App Store, expanded our team, and explored international opportunities.

Our Timeline

We embarked on our journey in 2013, facing challenging circumstances but driven by a grand vision. Over the years, we've grown and evolved, expanding our horizons and making strides in various domains.

How we Started

2013

Our journey commenced in 2013 as RIF Futures. During that period, we delved into engineering and scientific research concepts, including Automated AI and Photovoltaics, uniting minds to bring visions into practical fruition.

2014

We ventured into Subpadi in 2014, building on the research conducted in 2013. Subpadi originated as an e-commerce platform, leveraging WordPress. We successfully engaged various students and stakeholders, forming a team that collaborated with different stakeholders on the platform.

2015

In 2015, we initiated the involvement of stakeholders in Nigeria, specifically individuals with computer science and engineering skills, along with others in business-related fields. This led to the formation of a leading entity called Future Transformed Lead. The primary goals of this lead are to unite individuals with similar visions and to restructure the system for collective advancement.

2016

In 2016, we launched ScreenHub, a comprehensive 360 hub that served as a platform for networking ideas through digital products and marketing. This facilitated the exchange of ideas, understanding user behaviors, and customer reactions, ultimately bringing VR visual concepts to life. Additionally, we introduced Scientists Kingdom in 2016, specifically Intelligent Scientist (I N Intelligent Scientist). This initiative involved various University such as UI, OOU, Unilag, Uniabuja, and YabaTech, fostering collaboration and innovation in the field of science and intelligence.

2017

In 2017, we welcomed FUNAAB on board, introducing a concept that was idealized and visualized. We brought to life Screenmode.Com.my and ScreensTV, with ScreensTV serving as a WhatsApp community to connect with people. Through ScreensTV, we successfully onboarded numerous individuals from various schools, engaging them in discussions about entertainment, news, and innovative technological ideas. Our efforts extended to collaborating with stakeholders such as Alake of Egba Land, Governor Ibikunle Amosun, and Oba Abdulrazaq Adeungba. Furthermore, we launched a financial platform named AssetsHub, providing opportunities for individuals to invest in foreign currencies, purchase shares, and participate in franchises.

2018

In 2018, we began assembling a group of individuals to collaborate on entry point ideas. We actively sought out and engaged people with shared interests to work together towards common goals. During this period, we completed a full rebranding, adopting the name RIF Africa, and commenced industrial exchanges as part of our evolving endeavors.

2019

In 2019, we established a partnership with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture at Eweje, focusing on entrepreneurship skills training aimed at infusing innovation into agriculture. The training attracted participants from various states, allowing us to broaden our reach and enhance Subpadi through the knowledge gained during the program.

2020

We relaunched the Subpadi website, making significant updates. As part of our strategy, we closed the AssetsHub software. Our outreach efforts included both online and physical programs, establishing entry points for training sessions on digital skills and web design, empowering individuals in these areas.

2021

In 2021, we introduced the MarketingHub website, providing a platform for marketing initiatives. Additionally, we launched the Subpadi app on the Play Store, expanding its accessibility. Simultaneously, we initiated work on a new project (RIF Logistics).

2022

In 2022, we made a significant move by relocating our physical office from Lagos to Abeokuta. Simultaneously, we launched RIF Logistics and initiated the development of our new product, BigiSub. This strategic move aimed to not only expand our market presence but also better accommodate the needs of our customers.

2023

In 2023, we successfully launched BigiSub on both the Play Store and App Store, making it accessible to a broader audience. Our efforts also involved extensive research to establish connections with local stakeholders and explore international opportunities for both digital and physical goods. Additionally, we prioritized expanding our team, increasing the number of staff to enhance our capabilities and services.
